The mountain of scree continued for what seemed like ages down the far side. This whole section seems to be taking forever. In one sense it feels like we’re kind of finished, and yet at the same time there feels like such a long way to go. Either way, it’s been a few days now since we’ve seen other humans, and after a bit you begin to feel like Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes – as if we’re the only humans left in the wilderness of nature :)
