Secretly I think Ollie was a bit dubious about this plan too! But looking at it logically perhaps we could take it a step at a time, be very mindful and conscious of our footings and route, and carefully pick our way up… ? Maybe …?
I didn’t want squash the triumphant finale to the section, and so gave in to ‘test out’ the first part and see how we faired. Cookie firmly believed it was within my abilities and that the footwork was no different to many things we’ve done before, it just happened to have ‘a bit of a drop off’ … Ahem. Make that vertical!
I think Nicky had already made her mind up long before we got to the face that she wasn’t going over. But she came for a look anyhow, well with a bit of persuading ;)
There were well worn pigeon holes kicked into the snowgrass slope, making it not that technically difficult, it was just bloody steep and a long way down.
