Rummaging in the Undergrowth

Nicky Rummaging in the Undergrowth

Nicky“Wait a minute. This is still the path right?”. The undergrowth up this valley was giving us flashbacks to the far north of the North Island. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen our old friend ‘cutty grass’. I wished that, like Tengu, we to had a pound of sharpened steel ‘de-gorser’ tucked in my belt.

We saw that Dieter had written in one of the hut books, “Cows seem to be able to make better tracks than humans in New Zealand. Is this because they actually have to use them themselves?” ;)
