So happy to see this stretch of forest had a giant track through it ;) Thankfully quite a straight forward day. Even after the rest day in Kaitai my body was thankful for me not dishing it out a battering today ;) A bit of respite from the physical onslaught it’s not used to :D No exotic animal sightings today.. Fingers crossed tho!
No assault course action through this forest, easy walking on 4×4 tracks all the way to Paihia. It was our first chance of spotting a Kiwi though, but Kiwi sightings still = 0.
