We were sorely dissapointed to find ‘Avo Detour’ was actually a route avoiding avalanche prone slopes, NOT a quick side trail to an orchard of tastey avocado trees nestled in the wilderness ;) I’ve no idea how this route compares with the track (we later found out) we should of followed, but it was in the shade, soft under foot and no nonsense straight down! Not much of a track, but plenty of orange plastic triangles, certainly no sign of any avocado trees!
