This is our home for 20 days! We’d expected something a lot more basic after living in huts and tents all holiday. So for us this is super luxury! There’s no glass in the windows (who needs glass when it’s hot?), or electric but we’re very used to living without power. But there is: A gas hob rather than meths burner, a sink (with taps!), double rain water tanks, a proper mattress ( rather than an airbed ), chairs, a shower, and a flush loo! No more stinky long-drops for us. Very exciting! We even had mozzie nets upstairs, a proper kitchen, and two verandas to choose from for evening cocktails, and morning breakfast. And of course, one of the best tropical lagoons on planet earth, right there. You can’t ask for more. There were even two cats to play with :D
It even had a fridge! A pretty low-tech one, restocked with frozen water bottles ever other day, but a fridge non the less. I would of brought some beers if I’d of known, kept our rum cool though :) Shower too, what luxury! There wasn’t hot water but a cold shower in the tropics is kind of what you want anyhows.
We spent most of our time in the house hanging out on the downstairs decking where Nicky is building her scale model of our escape raft in this picture ;)
Lovely!!! i want to go there!!!
do they have kayaks to use?
