Wiggly wooden pathways snaking through the mangrove swamp. Some tiny fish swimming in the waters there… They didn’t know I was eyeing them up for lunch… Not much on em though… I shall hold out for a more ample morsel before I roll out the rod.
Can’t use your poles here.. They get wedged in the planks and the person behind falls over you when you stop… Some near Jeremy Beadle moments here… Maybe we can make some cash!
We were quite lucky that we came through here during an exceptionally high tide (the previous campsite was starting to flood a little). Kind of nice to be walking above the water for such a long way.
Just realised you’ve both got lovely red t-shirts…probably a bit late to tell you that the sandflies absolutely love red! Me and Tristan stood on a beach on the south island and he was wearing a red tshirt. He was also wearing a cloud of sandflies (which bit him til he bled!)and I didn’t get a single bite….
